At a business meeting between Ukraine and China in the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, entrepreneurs from both countries presented their companies and found new opportunities for cooperation.
In December 2013, a treaty on friendship and cooperation was signed between the two countries, and since then, relations with China have been on the ascendant.
“Only over the last year Ukraine has welcomed over 40 delegations from China, and this is just a small indicator of our cooperation,” said Gennady Chizhikov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the results of 2018, China became the second largest trade partner of Ukraine. This includes: $ 9 billion in turnover, $ 18 million in investment and 21 contracts worth more than $ 67 million.
In order to deepen cooperation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Ukrainian-Chineese Internatinal Buisness Center organized a meeting of the delegations of the countries, among which were representatives of energy, financial sector, machine-building companies of China and Ukraine.
“Ukrainian and Chinese businessmen want to work together and create joint business platforms for the development of cooperation,” said Gao Tsi, the chairman of the Chinese delegation, and the representative of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan.
After the company’s presentations, business representatives held B2B-talks.
