MEETING WITH THE NEW APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF UKRAINE TO THE PRC

On January 24, 2020 the business representatives met with the newly-appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to China, Sergei Kamyshev, and shared thier vision of addressing key issues in bilateral trade.
The ambassador noted that this would be his second cadence in the PRC. Developing trade and economic ties between our countries will be a priority. Emphasis was placed on the fact that together we must overcome the negative trade balance and receive a signal from the PRC leadership on public policy in the development of imports. Ukraine needs to export more.
The main areas of discussion were the search for ways of more effective entry of Ukrainian products into the Chinese market, establishing cooperation on the use of the potential of Ukrainian producers with the participation of Chinese partners, and the possibility of involving Chinese investors in participating in innovative projects in Ukraine.
Much attention was paid to the practical issues of electronic visas, simplification of requirements for the stay of tourist groups from China in Ukraine, etc.
